My journey was extremely fast; it was like in "Star Wars"; my ship was going at light speed. When I arrived on November 1st 1952, I saw a thermonuclear device explode right before my eyes. I was terrified by the power it exhibited. People beside me were still, because they didn’t know what was going to happen. Or if they were going to die. A man beside me knelt down and prayed.
The mushroom cloud was 25 miles high and 100 miles wide. It was night at the time of the blast but the sky was bright as day. The blast was so strong that the bunker we were in got covered with dirt. I was terrified.
The day after that a scientist said that the bomb could have blown up the United States. And that would have made life on earth impossible for a year! Only people that were in North America could survive such hardship. I asked if we were the only survivors of the world. He said, "Yes only in the U.S."
